Thomas Gordon's life was going just fine, until a chain of inexplicable mishaps results in Thomas getting fired. Fed up, he starts the search for a better life.     The characters were hollow, the plot poorly conceived and the concept lacked depth. Too many observations just touched on made the future world incoherent as an idea.

    For a quick read for a few days this boom hits the nail on the head. It is silly. You need to completely halt all thoughts of "what?" It has more holes in the plot then Swiss Cheese. Yet it is quite entertaining for some reason. Book is too small to thoroughly develop the characters. For a free book, no problem

    this book has some great ideas but never really follows them up. When the writer explains a technology which I was most interested in is glanced over then used as a basic idea throughout. It's an enjoyable read though and I caught myself enthralled but it just never really went anywhere and he focused on the minuscule rather than the large. Worth a read but weak in place!

    The authors sum knowledge of Britain must be from Mary Poppins, foggy London, cockney accents, etc. typical ignorant american cliche view, tsk. That aside the story is quite good upto about 2 thirds in, then it runs out of steam and does not go anywhere, apart from a rubbish ending. The characters and their dialogue are a bit weak, and it feels a bit rushed at times, a shame because it starts off ok.

    Characters are pretty 2D and the writing Is lame at best.
