    I knew C before, but decided not to skip anything. Seems I didn’t know all that much, and this book helped me fill in the gaps. Only slight moan is that the code snipets are written in such a way that when reading with VoiceOver (which I do full time), there’s something called a “0 width space” between each character, making reading code blocks a bit tricky Other than that, loving the book!

    I've battled through online tutorials on and off for about 18 months and had to walk away because I found it too frustrating. I started "Objective-C programming: The Big nerd Ranch Guide" last night and I'm already doing Chapter 5 and fully understand everything so far with no temper tantrums. This book is a must for people looking at getting started with programming for iOS, I highly recommend it!
