    I'm 10. Yes, I know what you're thinking, "She can't read that well!" But I have a reason age of 13 and 9 months! This book really grasped my imagination I would recommend it to most people aged 8- whatever age

    Having read this book 60years previous and watched the film of the same name on numerous occasions , it is so refreshing to find the warmth within all the pages from start to finish and to be compelled to read and read till the end. A brilliant story and so beautifully written for all ages.

    I'm one of those people who finds it difficult to start a book but if I like it, I have to read it all in on go. I've tried reading some classical books but if they don't interest me in the first chapter, I just can't go on. But this book, I don't know how, but I literally finished it all in one go (4 hours) despite it being a classical. It interested me straightaway. It's so heartwarming. I'm actually inspired by those children. Excellent book.

    Very good language. It was interesting and quite sad in some parts, quite tense in some, and the other parts were happy. It was enjoyable and it is a book I will read again. I recommend this book to people who like classic stories. 5 star *****
