  • So much better than expected!!

    I am a long-time reader of all kinds of sci-fi and really enjoy a lot of the new breed of pieces even when they are not so well crafted or edited. That said, my expectations are often low when it comes to things like story consistency, follow-through, even grammar and punctuation, (of which there we’re still a few minor things here), but this started good and kept getting better! I’m looking forward to reading more from this author. A really fun ride!!

    When asked who my favorite author is, l'm stumped. At least 25 or more stream through my consciousness. Some fall aside because they have one book that stands out above others. Tom Clancy's Red October was and remains a favorite leaving his following efforts interesting, but disappointing. They are often good, but just not 'as good'. This is my second E. R. Mason book. It equals, perhaps exceeds the first. I can't wait to read more and can only hope to be as excited and enthralled. He may not be producing 'the great American novel', but the stories are among the best 'space opera' I have read. In case you missed it, I highly recommend his novels to any lover of good stories and 'space opera' in particular.

    I have read the four books so far related to the adventures of Adrian Tarn, and what a wonderful ride it has been! It's like an action-packed movie. Love the story so far. The characters are likeable, and the banter between Tarn and R.J. is really funny. Truly enjoyable reading. Only sugestion to the author is to do some extra editing for grammar errors, but it's no big deal. They don't take away from the story. Please, keep on writing on these characters. I can't wait for the next adventure of Adrian Tarn.

    I've been reading science fiction for over 60 years and "Deep Crossing" is as an inventive a premise as I remember; an almost perfect space opera and a most enjoyable book, especially as it has a happy ending.
